UK unemployment rate falls to 4.9%

The UK unemployment rate fell to 4.9% in the three months to February, according to the Office for National Statistics.

The market had expected the jobless rate to stay steady at 5.0%.

The claimant count rose by 10,100, better than expectations of a 24,500 rise.
