Wizz Air passenger volumes down 82% in January

Budget carrier Wizz Air said it carried 82% less passengers during the month of January year-on-year, as the pandemic continued to hurt travel markets.

Passenger volumes in January fell to 573,692, down from 3,158,656 in January 2020.

Capacity fell 73% and the company's load factor shrank by 29.2 percentage points to 61.0%.
