Online education services group Wey Education booked a full-year loss after rising revenue was offset by one-off business termination and restructuring charges.

Pre-tax losses for the year through August amounted to £685k, compared to losses of £302k on-year.

Revenue rose 44% to £6.0m, while adjusted pre-tax profit more than doubled to £322k.

Wey education said it incurred costs of £312k in respect of its discontinued overseas operations during the year.

It also incurred exceptional costs of £436k in respect of termination and restructuring costs and the costs of closing its London Learning Centre.
