Anglo Asian Mining output up 3% in Q3

Anglo Asian Mining said production rose 3% in the third quarter from the second, with gold sold at higher prices during the quarter.

The company reported a 3% rise in gold equivalent ounces in third quarter (GEOs) to 20,227 from the 19,618 GEOs a quarter earlier.

There was a 'significant' increase in average price of gold bullion sold in the third quarter to $1,513 per ounce, from $1,319 per ounce reported in the first half of the year.

Full-year 2019 production guidance was maintained at the lower end of 82,000 to 86,000 GEOs, the company said.
