Education software provider Tribal Group booked a 24% rise in first-half profit, mostly owing to lower share-based payments to executives.

Underlying earnings were flat as revenue fell.

Pre-tax profit for the six months through June amounted to £3.6m, up from £2.9m on-year.

Revenue fell 4% to £40.4m and adjusted operating profit was flat at £6.3m following a weaker contract performance in the Middle East.
