Clontarf Energy losses narrow as exploration expenses fall

Ghana and Bolivia focused gas explorer Clontarf Energy booked a narrower full-year loss after its exploration impairment costs fell.

Pre-tax losses for the year through December amounted to £351k, compared to losses of £2.8m on-year.

'We share the concerns and frustration of shareholders who have waited for years for positive news,' chairman John Teeling said.

'There has been a number of false dawns.'

'All I can offer my fellow shareholders is hope, hope that at long last some genuine opportunities will be open to our company.'
