UK unemployment rate falls to 3.8%; wages rise 3.2%

The UK unemployment rate fell to 3.8% in the three months through March, according to the Office for National Statistics.

The market had been expecting the rate to stay steady at 3.9%.

Average weekly earnings including bonuses rose 3.2%, shy of expectations of a 3.4% rise.
