Irish seasonally adjusted industrial production back to monthly growth

Seasonally adjusted industrial production returned to monthly growth in Ireland in October, data published by the Central Statistics Office showed Tuesday.

The country’s industrial output climbed 3.2% monthly in October, after an 11% contraction the CSO had reported for September. On-year growth decelerated to 9.2% in October from 9.4% in September.

Unadjusted, monthly growth slowed to 1.9% in October from 9.8% in September, while annual growth accelerated to 8.6% from 6.3%.

Gregg Patrick, CSO statistician in the Enterprise Statistics division said: ‘The highly globalised modern sector, which includes the chemical, pharmaceutical, and computer & electronic sectors, experienced an annual growth of 18% in industrial production from August 2025 to October 2025 when compared with the same period in 2024. In contrast, annual production in the traditional sector decreased by 3.4% annually over the same three-month period.’
