Guardian Metal Resources PLC - tungsten exploration and development in US state of Nevada - Expands Tempiute tungsten project by buying 18 claims for mineralised zones adjacent to its existing land holding. Tempiute is in south-central Nevada, 250 miles southeast of Guardian’s Pilot Mountain tungsten project. The new claims cover the historical Schofield open-pit mine. Guardian says sampling of the new claims is underway and results will be released in coming weeks. It doesn’t say what it paid for the claims.

Last week, Guardian said received a $6.2 million award from the US Department of Defense to ‘accelerate the development’ of the Pilot Mountain project. It also raised raised £15.6 million, about $21 million, from direct subscriptions for 25.9 million new shares at £0.60 per share.
