Frontier Developments PLC on Wednesday reported an optimistic outlook, with full-year revenue expected ahead of forecasts.

The Cambridge, England-based video game maker is predicting revenue for its financial year ending May 31 to be around £90 million, up from £89.3 million in 2024. This exceeds the company-compiled consensus, which forecast revenue between £85 million and £89 million.

Frontier Developments said its performance was boosted by the £3.5 million sale of publishing rights for the game ’Stranded: Alien Dawn’, which is not included in revenue calculations.

The firm anticipates ending the year with ‘higher-than-expected’ profitability and net cash.

Back in January, Frontier Developments celebrated a swing to profit during the first-half, with pretax profit in the six months to November 30 of £4.4 million, from a loss of £33.1 million a year prior.

Shares in Frontier Developments were up 9.4% at 249.50 pence each on Wednesday morning in London.

The firm will announce a trading update on June 11.
