Wholesale prices in Ireland rose for the second month in a row in February, while electricity prices sank significantly, according to data from the Irish Central Statistics Office on Friday.
Wholesale prices increased 1.1% on-month in February, slowing from a 1.4% rise in January after a 0.6% easing in December. On an annual basis, prices were 3.3% higher in February.
Wholesale electricity prices fell 15% in the month of February, down 47% over the previous 12 months.
According to the CSO, domestic producer prices for manufactured goods were on average 3.3% lower in February compared to a year prior.
Other notable changes over the past 12 months include a 22% increase in chemicals & chemical product prices, and an 11% increase for beverages.
