Wholesale prices for the month of October grew modestly in Ireland, according to the Central Statistics Office on Friday.
Wholesale prices rose by 1.1% in October from the prior month, accelerating from September’s monthly rise of 0.1%. On an annual basis, however, prices fell 2.4% in October, compared to the 1.6% drop in September.
Wholesale electricity prices jumped 13% in October from the prior month, but were 7.8% lower year-on-year.
The CSO also said domestic producer prices for manufactured goods were on average 3.1% lower in October compared to the year before, while producer prices for exported goods fell by 2.4%. Manufacturing producer prices were also 2.4% lower annually.
