Ireland jobless rate up to 4.8% in October from 4.7% in September

Ireland’s unemployment rate edged slightly higher last month, numbers from the Central Statistics Office showed Thursday.

The nation’s jobless rate rose to 4.8% in October, from 4.7% in September. It picked up from 4.5% in October 2022.

The number of those unemployed rose 2,700 on-month and 13,300 on-year to 132,800, the CSO said.
