Unikmind Holdings Ltd confirmed on Friday it acquired an additional 17.2 million shares from Kape Technologies PLC at $3.60 each.

Kape is a London-based digital security software provider.

Unikmind, which is based in the Isle of Man, already held a 54% stake in Kape.

Unikmind said its purchase of additional shares, which represent a 4.0% stake, took its shareholding to 58%.

The company added that it also received commitments to accept the takeover of Kape for an additional 55.4 million shares, resulting in commitments totalling to 71%.

Unikmind had said on Thursday it would declare the offer unconditional if its shareholding reached a target closer to 75%.

This comes after Kape noted on Thursday a revised and final cash takeover offer from Unikmind for the remaining stake of the company it didn’t already own.

Shares in Kape were up 0.5% at 288.50 pence each in London on Friday afternoon.
