Emis Group PLC - Leeds-based healthcare software maker - Says it is in the process of finalising a merger notice with the UK Competition & Markets Authority, ahead of a phase one investigation regarding its acquisition by Optum Health Solutions UK Ltd, a subsidiary of Minnesota, US-based healthcare and insurance company UnitedHealth Group Inc. As a result, Emis expects the scheme to become effect in the first quarter of 2023.

In June, Emis announced it had reached an agreement on the terms of a £1.24 billion all cash offer under which Optum Health Solutions UK would acquire its entire share capital.

Current stock price: 1,856.40 pence, down 0.1% on Tuesday in London
