Biffa PLC - Buckinghamshire-based waste management firm - Extends deadline for Energy Capital Partners LLC to make a takeover offer to September 27 from August 30. In June, ‘indicative’ proposals from private equity firm Energy Capital valued Biffa at £1.36 billion.
Biffa says further announcements will be released when appropriate.
Current stock price: 385.00 pence, down 0.8% on Tuesday for market capitalisation of £1.18 billion
