Chrysalis Investments Ltd - investor in technology and finance startups - Notes that investee Klarna Holdings AB, a Swedish payment solutions provider, raised $800 million in new financing, valuing the company at $6.65 billion. This round was larger than expected and represents a discount to Chrysalis's current carrying value of the asset. Company's investment advisor believes the current valuation to be ‘very attractive’ and the has therefore committed to its pro-rata entitlement of $8.7 million. Consequently, the company will not suffer any dilution of its holding because of this funding round.

Chrysalis first invested in Klarna in August 2019 at a post-money valuation of $5.5 billion.

Current stock price: 97.40 pence, down 6.0% in London on Monday
