IN BRIEF: Yamana Gold posts quarterly rise in gold, silver output

Yamana Gold Inc - Toronto-based miner operating in Canada, Brazil, Chile and Argentina - Exceeds gold production target in the quarter ended March 31. Produces 210,533 ounces of gold, up from 201,117 ounces of gold a year ago. Meanwhile, silver production exceeds plans at 2.2 million ounces from 2.1 million ounces year-on-year. Revenue grows to $441.9 million from 422.0 million, but remains lower than revenue of 2021's fourth quarter of $503.8 million.

Free cash flow shrinks to $34.7 million from $76.0 million. ‘The company expects free cash flow to increase quarter-over-quarter with the strongest free cash flow generation anticipated in the second half of the year,’ the firm adds.
