Information technology consultant Triad’s shares jumped after revenues rose and pre-tax profits doubled. The group raised its profile throughout the year with its presence on a number of key programmes and its contribution at events, including the Government’s digital services roadshow, being major drivers. Underpinning the group's success will be its ability to develop new and existing accounts and deliver successful outcomes for clients. Triad’s shares were up by more than 24% in lunchtime trading.
Non-invasive leak detection and remediation solutions specialist Water Intelligence was another strong riser following a big rise in full-year profits and a good first quarter. Water Intelligence’s shares were up by over 18%.
Satellite operator Inmarsat, which is set to lose its place on the FTSE100 at the end of this week, was the blue-chips’ biggest riser on a strategic partnership with communications services group SpeedCast.
